To educate the men
and women on the role of the plantation women workers at home
and in the work place ISD produced a documentary film. The film
highlights a day’s life of plantation working women and
stressing male domination. The main actor of the film are
plantation workers. The film is used in gender workshops. The
name of the film “DAWN TO DUSK”
Another film was produced to highlight
the cultural taboos created against Tamil grails.
The Hindus celebrate the first menstruation
(puberty) in a grand manner. But following that
ceremony the women will be kept out from spiritual
or ceremonial function during the menstruation
period. So the film highlighted the hidden
agenda of the ceremony and the women's oppression.
The film is called " Comrade". it was filmed in
India and the actors are Indian activists.
